The Dalesbred Lambing Chair
The Lambing chair was the very first piece that
was created. Inspiration was taken from an old family heirloom,
which was made around 1720. They were once a familiar sight
in farmhouse kitchens throughout the Yorkshire Dales. Tired
Shepherds would sit up by the fire instead of going to bed
during Lambing time. This is how it came to be called a
Lambing Chair.
To this day, the Lambing Chair still looks perfect beside
the Aga or fireplace proving that exceptional design
never dates.
The chairs come in various timbers and finishes, with either
a front or side opening drawer.
